  • Teaching and Reading: Attitudes and Practices Survey (2005 - 2006) :The survey was designed to assess teacher attitudes and practices with regard to reading and reading instruction. Specifically, the study explored the reliability of the survey overall and of the factors incorporated, including teachers as readers, classroom practices in reading, attitudes toward talented readers, and self-efficacy in teaching reading.
  • Faculty Survey (2005 - 2006) :The Teachers for a New Era Project at UConn conducted this survey to examine the views of Neag faculty members relative to the State's BEST Program for beginning teachers.
  • IB/M Survey (Spring 2005) :Student in the Neag School teacher preparation program were invited to participate in this study of teacher preparation and self-efficacy beliefs about teaching sponsored by the UConn Teachers for a New Era Project at UConn.
  • TNE Entry Survey (Fall 2005): The purpose of this survey was to obtain views regarding a variety of aspects of expectations, goals, and perceptions of the teacher preparation program. The input will be used to improve teacher education programs at TNE schools.
  • BEST Impact Survey (Fall 2005): The BEST survey for the State Department of Education was conducted in cooperation with the Teachers for a New Era Project at the University of Connecticut.
  • Perceptions of Excellent Teachers (2004 - 2006) : A University of Connecticut study of the attributes of excellent classroom teachers as part of the Teachers for a New Era Project. This study is examining perceptions about effective teaching.
